Just got back from Lovely Southend where I met my long standing process group. Obviously I can't discuss what we said or did but I came away with a sense of just how enduring Traumas that are based around early experience can be. Those early years are absolutely vital and if you don't get sufficient love, nurturing or sense of self agency then you got plenty of adaptations needed to feel OK about yourself. For those who survive there is the ability to empathise with those who suffer in a way that
no-one else seemingly can and, in my case, a potential career opportunity but would I rather have had a nurturing, loving upbringing? You bet I would !
